Hannah Perowne - Violin
BIOGRAPHY
Hannah performs regularly as guest leader with orchestras including the BBC Philharmonic, the Halle Orchestra, Royal Northern Sinfonia, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, The Philharmonia, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Royal Scottish National Orchestra, Bergen Philharmonic and Odense Symphony Orchestra. She has led and co-led orchestras in Germany and Europe such as the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra, Camerata Salzburg, and the Komische Oper, Berlin.
As a chamber musician she has performed worldwide as guest artist with the internationally acclaimed Henschel Quartet, the Mozart Piano Quartet and Camerata Salzburg. During her time as a member of the Gewandhaus Orchestra she was also the leader of the Leipzig Sinfonietta, a chamber ensemble made up of principal players of the orchestra and specialising in performances of modern works.
Her numerous concerto performances include both the Brahms Concerto and Brahms Double Concerto in the Philharmonie, Berlin. She also performed the Samuel Barber and Philip Glass Violin Concertos in Berlin and Karl Amadeus Hartmann's Concerto Funebre at St John's Smith Square, London. Other performances include Tchaikovsky, Mendelssohn, Bruch and Mozart as well as the much loved Vaughan Williams "The Lark Ascending". She has broadcast as a soloist and chamber musician on the BBC, Classic FM, SWR and NDR Radio, Germany and ABC Australia.
